Weekly What’s Up

Well, that was a crazy week. I spent most of Monday either driving, or at the hospital. Don’t worry, everyone is okay. I wouldn’t even mention it except for two things:

  1. I was there from 9:45am to 3:30pm, most of that time in the waiting room…with someone they knew had a contagious condition. When we got to go in a room the nurse said, “Well, the only good thing about what you have is you don’t have to wait in the waiting room!” Fail.
  2. It was 93 degrees outside and they had to give us both heated blankets to keep warm inside. The AC at that hospital gets the over-achiever award, for sure.

Tuesday was much more fun. During the day I did some research then prep’d for an upcoming craft show and the flash sale that were both on Saturday. After that, my father and I went to see the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty in concert! Like I said, more fun. ๐Ÿ˜€ It was an awesome show, and I highly recommend it!

Wednesday was spent recuperating from my early-week concert and working on some design stuff. I won’t lie, this was totally my jammies-all-day day. Productive? Yes. Sleep a lot? Absolutely.

Oh, I also wasted some time decorating the house I wish I had. If you have a second, check out Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. They have adorable houses and house plans. Plus, you can decorate the interior online! It’s like building a house in the Sims, without the little characters distracting you…

Anyway, Thursday saw more driving and appointments to keep, plus more prep for the craft show/flash sale. I was a busy bee, so it was good I had rested up the day before. Dan also brought home the very first pieces from the new lathe, which I had to ooh and ahh over. That, and my cat has gotten needy this week on a whole new level. Like, really needy. This is what I wake up to:

Friday, I was a headless chicken. Okay, not literally. I could have put on a chicken suit, but I was too busy for that. We took part in a flash sale Saturday, but it was while we were at the Gilmanton Year Round Library Summer Fling, so I had to send out an email and schedule some posts on Friday to make sure everyone knew about both.

We had a blast at the Summer Fling! We got to hang across from Bubble & Flame again – always good company. Plus, it looked like it would downpour and instead it was sunny and eighty. Thank you, weather gods! Plus, my best friend and her hubby drove down from Effingham to visit with us. She tried selling for my; if we needed staff, she’d be hired. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Then a friend I hadn’t talked to in a couple of years came by with her daughter, and we got to chat for a while. One Facebook friend request later and I’m pretty happy with the day. Oh, and the business did well, too…

On top of all that, there were a whole bunch of the A-List members doing a flash sale all day. That was a blast! If you missed it, feel free to check out the A-List’s website. There are coupon codes for some of the shops on there!

Sunday was, admittedly, lazy. We had a long Saturday, and spent Sunday catching up on little things and trying to keep cool. Well, that and I didn’t finish this post until almost 11pm… I’ve been busy! That, and I’ve spent a ton of time on this week’s Indie Interests post. It’s about clay cuties! AH, I can’t wait to share it!

  1. Glad to hear you had a great day in Gilmantin! Hope whoever was sick feels much better now. One of these days I’ll make to a show!
